By accessing or using (re)expense ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.
Summary: (re)expense is an expense tracking tool for real estate professionals. You're responsible for your data accuracy and account security. We provide the tools; you handle the tax decisions with your accountant.

(re)expense is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application that helps real estate professionals track business expenses, mileage, and receipts for tax purposes. Our services include:

Account Registration
To use our Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly notify us of any unauthorized account access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Subscription and Payment
Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a free trial period. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue using premium features.
Subscription Plans

Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- We may change pricing with 30 days notice
- Failed payments may result in service suspension
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Upload false, fraudulent, or misleading information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

User Content and Data

Always consult with a qualified tax professional or CPA before making tax decisions. We are not responsible for any tax penalties, audits, or financial losses resulting from your use of our Service.
While we strive to keep IRS mileage rates and deduction rules current, tax laws change frequently. You are responsible for verifying that your deductions comply with current IRS regulations.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by (re)expense and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.
Third-Party Services
Our Service integrates with third-party services including:
- Google (Maps, Calendar, Authentication)
- Apple (Calendar, Authentication)
- Microsoft (Outlook Calendar)
- Facebook (Authentication)
Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party's terms of service. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or changes.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Experience occasional downtime due to technical issues
- Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
- We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

Indemnification

- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms

Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Non-payment of fees
- Extended inactivity
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be:
- First attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation
- Subject to binding arbitration if negotiation fails
- Governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA
You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against us.
